I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!

Tuesday is Ability Awareness day! It is will also be Blues Spirit Day! Students can wear Blues apparel to school to show their spirit. Tuesday night is Sappington Blues Night at the hockey game.

This week in math we are continuing to learn about multiplying by 1 digit numbers. We will be working with estimating products and multiplying numbers up through 1 by 4 digits. It is important that students continue to work on their basic math facts! The quiz over this chapter will be next week.

In reading, we are continuing to learn about figurative language. We are focusing on similes at the beginning of the week and will begin to learn about metaphors towards the end of the week. I encourage students to find similes in their readings and write them down to share with the class!

In writing, we are continuing to learn about the American Revolution. We will begin to learn how nonfiction writers pre-write and begin the drafting process this week.

Please let me know if you have any questions! Have a great week J
