Monday Message!
I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! This morning we had a
Veteran’s Day Assembly. The students showed great character and respect to the Veterans visiting our school.
Wednesday is an early release day. The students will be dismissed at 1:40.
This week in math the students are continuing to learn about
geometry. We will have a quiz on Wednesday. I will be sending home a review
tonight that will be due on Wednesday.
The quiz will be over points, rays, lines, line segments, acute angles,
obtuse angles, straight angels, parallel lines, perpendicular lines,
intersecting lines, and plotting points on a coordinate grid. Please check out
the class blog to look at some study tools that we have created in class.
We will be celebrating our finished writing pieces this
week! Towards the end of the week we will start our new unit of writing, which is opinion writing.
In reading, we are continuing to work on making inferences in
fiction stories.
In social studies, students are learning about Missouri’s
culture. In science students are learning about ecosystems.
I hope everyone has a great week! Please let me know if you
have any questions.
Thanks,
Amanda
