I hope everyone had a great weekend!
Thank you so much to everyone who helped make our Halloween party so enjoyable. Thank you for planning, coming in, and donating items on your own time to make our party so much fun!
Also, thank you for taking your time and coming to conferences last week. It was a great opportunity to see all of you and get the chance to talk about your child’s progress in fourth grade so far.

This week in curriculum:
In math, this week we are beginning to work on geometry. We will learn about angles and lines. I am excited to start this unit with the students because we will be doing several fun activities to introduce this unit of geometry.
In writing, we are finishing publishing our realistic fiction pieces. We will celebrate all of our hard work by sharing our work with our peers towards the end of the week.
In reading, we are continuing to work on making inferences within texts. This week we are focusing on making inferences in fiction stories. This will be a helpful skill since many of the books the students read are fiction.
Have a great week! Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Amanda
